The Travelistas of BET recently came to Harlem for their season one episode. While here they asked locals what they love about Harlem? See what some Harlemites had to say.  You may recognize some of the places in the video that we have featured as well, such as Mojo, Swing, N Boutique, Make My Cake and Frederick Douglass Circle and more! Take a look by clicking here!

N Harlem New York is starting their pre-publicity for its fall opening on Lenox Avenue. They are offering customers the opportunity to purchase their “Harlem is the new Black” t-shirt in advance of the opening. Click here for details.

As for the trademark, “Harlem is the new Black,” I like it! It is very similar to the quotes by Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan from Saturday Night Live: “Bitch is the new Black” and “If Black is the new bitch, then Black is the new President….”  What do you think of N’s new slogan tee?

As we and several other blogs reported awhile back, N Boutique is relocating in Harlem. They recently notified their customers in an email announcing their new location, which is 171 Lenox Avenue. Good news for shoppers who do not want to trek downtown for fun and chic clothing!N Boutique.jpeg

Harlem’s N Boutique moving

imagesWondering why N Boutique is closed and no signs of shopping life inside? They’re moving “a few blocks away” from their 116th Street flagship store. They are planning “a new store opening and celebrity-filled relaunch event.”

Good for them and glad t o hear they are staying in Harlem! I purchased a lovely summer dress there last season. It was very convenient to shop at N Boutique since it was centrally located in Harlem. Didn’t have to go downtown.

Looking forward to hearing more about their new location. N Boutique, if your reading HCL tell us exactly where your moving!
