New York Magazine reports in their “Your New Favorite Bar” section there are two spots in Harlem they recommend to “wet your whistle.” They are: Ginny’s Supper Club, aka the lower level of Red Rooster, and Lenox Social, the new establishment getting picked on by Lenox Lounge!
NY Mag says Ginny’s is a place where “the young and old can wet their beaks…and you’ll be able to see Asian and French influences.” The weekly magazine calls Lenox Social a place where “there’s something for nearly everyone, with a sturdy comfort-food menu, friendly scattershot decor, and a multipurpose space that simultaneously qualifies as sports bar, group-meeting ground, and quiet dinner destination in Harlem.”
So there you have it! Two places to check out in Harlem-and on Lenox Avenue-this weekend if you need some ideas on where to go!
Do you mean Malcolm X Blvd?
@FriendsofMacombs thanks for stopping by again. Yes, I mean Lenox Avenue, which is also known as Malcolm X Blvd. Both of the establishments I mention in this blog post use Lenox Avenue as their official business address. That’s one of the main reasons why I used the address Lenox Ave vs. Malcolm X Blvd. But yes, you are correct, it’s Malcolm X Blvd as well.
Both of these “Bars” just got here and obviously do not respect the historical perspective of the Community-At-Large/long standing Residents.
How do you (Friends of Macomb) know they don’t respect the community at large? That’s sounds quite judgemental and like a big chip on the old shoulder and bitter.
Hello! You made a judgment when you pushed these establishments as “Two places to check out in Harlem-and on Lenox Avenue-this weekend if you need some ideas on where to go!” Also, I indicated a reason for why these businesses along with many new comers to Harlem like you do not respect the Community-At-Large and attempt to lecture us on what Harlem Residents “should do” with this or that. The written behavior you exhibit and the comments you make emits the nasty smell of arrogance toward the long standing Residents in Harlem.
This is one of worst sea food place in nyc.
