Sign says apartments for rent at 2270 Frederick Douglass Blvd in Harlem

What was once an abandon lot is now the home of luxury rental apartments at the corner of 122nd and Frederick Douglass Blvd in Harlem. This is a common scene in Harlem. If there’s space in Harlem, developers will build on it. Now there’s a brand new rental building at 2270 and 2272 Frederick Douglass Blvd. Their website is 2270FDB.com Here’s how the space looked awhile back!

Little paper signs are posted on the commercial space at 2270 FDB saying now renting, for inquires call 212-997-0606. The website says there’s still availability. If interested in renting in this new Harlem building, give that number a call or email 2270fdb@gmail.com!

Sign says apartments for rent at 2126 Frederick Douglass Blvd in Harlem

There is signage up at the recently renovated Harlem building located at 2126 Frederick Douglass Blvd. that says apartments for rent by CitiHabitats. When I went to the website to view the listing, I only saw 5 Harlem apartments listed and get ready for this…the apartments listed range from $4700 for a 4 bedroom/2bath to $4000 for a 3 bedroom/2 bath.

I find that rent to be pricey however, this part of Harlem has experienced the most growth in the last couple of years, it’s known as Harlem’s restaurant row and its nestled between two big parks, ie Central Park North and Morningside Park. If I had to bet, my guess is CitiHabitats will probably get the rent they are asking. What do you think? Is the rent reasonable for these Harlem apartments or “too damn high” as the saying goes?

Harlem Real Estate Progress Report: The Morellino Condo unveils its listing

The building located at 159 West 118th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd has gone through so many changes, from condo to youth hostel to vacant, etc., it may have finally reached one identity. Called The Morellino, it has 35 residential units, 20 storage units, and five retail units.Of the 35 residential units, there are 15-one bedrooms, nine-two bedrooms, and 11-three bedrooms. Six of the units boast outdoor space, either as a rooftop terrace or a ground level garden. The prices range from $475k to $1.4 million. Buyers would be paying in the range of $650 a square foot-if my math serves me correctly. Park River Properties now appears to have the entire listings!
