Salsa sensation Marc Anthony spotted today in Spanish Harlem

The Facebook page called New Yorkers Do It Better posted a picture to their page today of Marc Anthony in Spanish Harlem. According to the photo, it appears the Harlem native is filming a music video right where or close to where the salsa star grew up, 108th Street and Lexington Avenue.

What a coincidence (or maybe not) that Marc Anthony is in his old hood, East Harlem, today after this past weeks ridiculous flap over him singing the National Anthem?

Whatever the reasons are for him being in Harlem today, that’s great! However, I’m looking forward to buying his latest album, 3.0! Can’t wait!

The folks behind the new Le Pain Quotidien in Spanish Harlem have sent in recent photos. Le Pain Quotidien in Harlem opened in May on Madison Avenue at 97th Street!

The new store features a large dining room where there is a reclaimed oversize porcelain sink in a dining room for chilling/display of wine, a reclaimed rustic iron gate at entryway, custom steel and glass window walls at entryway and LED lighting throughout the space.

Feel free to stop on by and check out the relatively new Le Pain Quotidien in Harlem!

Sign says Serengeti Teas & Spices, new business moving into old Harlem Flo space

A long time reader of HarlemGal Inc sent in a photo last night (July 12) of a new store coming to Harlem. The new store is called Serengeti Teas & Spices. It’s located at 2292 Frederick Douglass Blvd, where the old and first location of Harlem Flo use to be. Harlem Flo is still open , but down the street on FDB.

In the photo, it shows new signage, which states the name of the new Harlem business and says “specialty teas and coffees of Africa and the world.” Interesting! Looking forward to checking this place out.

And a big thanks to our reader for sending in the photo!
